    My internet is really bad and i was wondering if anyone knew if Wimax was any good

    As long as it can find a game quick enough and it doesnt lag to sh*t il be happy with

    so any of ye know if its any good?

    What area are you in?

    What is your internet like now, is it wired or wireless? Post a speedtest+pingtest

    from what ive heard wimax is pretty bad id go with UPC to be honest they suck at customer service but their internet is quick

    I cant get UPC or eircom because i live in a village in the middle of nowhere :(

    Ive had wimax 4 months in dublin15 and its the best internet ive had yet on a 7mb package most of the time i get around 8 or 9mb and i never have a problem on xbox

    I had it a few months ago in Ballsbridge. Was pulling host half the time. It's very location dependant.

    Have it for last 4 months. Very good so far on the 7 mb package. PS3 could not pick it up wirelessly though so had to run and extra long ethernet cable which is a bit of a pain cos I paid for wifi capability. As earlier poster said I reckon location is a huge factor. Otherwise I am finding it great on blops!!! Cant wait for mw3 now cos I am still a bit of a newbie
