Using Windows Vista a message was displayed "Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has stopped working and was closed". The service is still functioning - I can't detect any difference in performance. Should I just ignore it or will it ultimately create a problem?

Right click on computer and select properties. There should be a link for Hardware\Device Manager. Click in to that and then expand the network heading.

Right click on the wireless card and select update drivers, see if that helps.

You might be running a configuration program in conjunction with the card. I f*ckin' hate those.

I would just set the thing to use windows to manage the wifi networks, look for Dell Wireless configuration and click the option to use Windows to manage wireless networks, you'll need to re enter the WEP/WPA security key once this is done.
