Cheap men's winter wardrobe

I'm trying to find winter clothes for my boyfriend who is coming to Ireland for a few weeks around Christmas. He lives in a hot climate, and trying to find winter clothes just isn't happening over there! Just wondering, since it's a pretty short amount of time, what are the essentials and where would be the best (and most inexpensive!) place to get them?
    Many thanks! :)

The likes of Penneys and H&M are great for long/short sleeve tees and hoodys, and hats/scarves/gloves. Will probably pick up a nice coat there as well, or try charity shops/second hand.

The tees can be worn under long sleeve shirts for an extra bit of warmth. Zara also usually has nice woolly jumpers that look good with a shirt.

Might be worth spending on shoes or boots if there's snow or rain forecast.

Jack & Jones would also be a good bet to look in

Zara's stuff is realtively cheap and the quality/style is usually quite good. H&M for a more junior look and Penneys as the fall-back.

And they have a sale on too, lots of stuff is 50% off! :)

TK Maxx maybe, if you don't think it's the ultimate nightmare!!

I was just looking at the mens Autumn/winter collection in river island and i have to say there's tons of gorgeous stuff, that you could do a lot of mixing with.

Go for some cords, maybe a big thick jumper/ cardigan and a thinner v neck, a couple of shirts and a decent coat. Definitely invest in a good pair of waterproof boots.

Thankfully he's got a good solid pair of boots from the army- they'll come in useful! My mom is getting a hoodie for him for Christmas, so that's one down. Penneys have a really great selection- I was really impressed. I never heard of Jack and Jones before- will definitely check 'em out!

    Thanks everyone!
