As far as I know it doesn't exist anymore.

Morgan Place used to be on Inns Quay, where the Four Courts are, so perhaps it refers to one of the Courts there.

The redbrick office building called Aras Ui Daliagh on the quays beside the Four Courts is on the site of what used to be the Four Courts Hotel, Morgan Place was a cul de sac that ran off the quays between the hotel and the main Four Courts building.

The Morgan Place courts used to handle all of the driving summons cases for the Dublin Metropolitan District. If the courts are still in use you access them by entering through the security gate on the quays beside Aras Ui Daliagh and the entrance to the Morgan Place courts is around the corner at the rear of the Four Courts building but the staff on the gate will direct you. You used to also be able to access the Morgan Place courts by going in the Four Courts main entrance and walking down the left corridor behind the main rotunda.

Morgan Place ran down the west side of the Four Courts building.

(If for some reason that doesn't work zoom in from this http://ims0.osiemaps.ie/website/publicviewer/main.aspx and choose HISTORIC 25")

So Morgan Place is the current security entrance? And the "Morgan Courts" are where now High Courts 6, 7 and 8 are on the ground floor?

In the late 70s & early 80s there was three court rooms numbered 1, 2 and 3 on the ground floor in the NW corner of the main building. These were the Morgan Place courts and they dealt with cases arising via summons only. IIRC court 3 typically dealt with the bread and butter driving licence and insurance cases so typically had a big throughput each sitting day. The Bridewell courts were numbered 4, 5 and 6 so as to avoid confusion even though they were physically in a different building beside the Bridewell Garda Station.

I always thought that building was more brown than red, although I might be confusing it with another building. :)

NSFW - it may be an offence to open this link in the vicinity of the courts

Funny enough I saw the sign for Morgan Courts today when I was pottering around the Four Courts. Must have walked past it hundreds of times and never noticed it before.

Doesn't say much about my observational skills :D
