    hi
    i tried to update the ios on my phone to the latest version. all seemed to be going swimmingly, and then it failed,
    now ive got a phone that is in recovery mode, and when i try to do a restore through itunes i get an error 36.. which doesnt seem to be listed.

    i tunes was at the newest version 10.5 for the update, and the ios was 4.3.5

    kinda stuck now, any suggestions?
    :confused::confused::confused:

    Was the phone Jailbroken? If so thats probably the problem.

    Only suggestion i have is to try iTunes on a different computer, after a few times trying to do a restore on one computer Apple stops allowing requests thinking your deliberately hacking your device.

    If you use a different computer this may bypass this. Make sure it also has the latest version of iTunes.

    hi Dublinstiofán
    Ill give that a go later so.

    phone wasnt jailbroken, but i had tried to do it before.
    i think the issue was, the HD ran out of space as the update was happening.

    ill give it a go on my non work pc later.
    thanks for the suggestion.

    tried it on another pc, tried it with older and newer versions of the firmware...
    sadly no joy.
