More of the same rubbish from Bruton, "Aren't we just great, look at all the recognition we are getting for our efforts in Europe", meanwhile the reality back on the ranch, is that there is another 1,000 people lamped onto the dole queue or facing that prospect in any event, even if the consequences of this decision are not immediate.

In fairness to Aviva, you can't blame a company for having to let go of people in a contracting market, the problem is that the market is contracting because the economy is shrinking every month, despite the spin that is going on that we are in some sort of a recovery. A jobless recovery, what a joke.

Last March, Bruton announced a business loan scheme for small business start-ups that was to be funded in part by this pension levy. Well guess what, six months later, there is still no f*cking sign of it, banks that have been bailed out with billions of Euro of taxpayers money still refusing to lend to any business now. We really should be on the streets over this.
