Does anyone know of a cheap terrestrial box that has this feature.I have used a freeview box for many years to feed an extra channel around the house and it gave up the ghost this morning.

The televes FTA box is pretty good.I think power city has them and xtravision also but not sure if the latter are still in business.

very hard to find a saorview or freeview stb with rf out, i think the televes Tony is referring to is a fta satellite receiver.

My apologies thought I was in the satellite forum, please disregard that info as the televes is a satellite box. Thanks Mr Sneeg for pointing out my error :)

    Icecrypt T5000 has a modulator.

    Shouldn't be too expensive.

Technomate TM5200 has an RF out as does the TM3000 which are cheap reliable models.

You also combine somethink like a tri-link modulator made by triax and use it on any box that has a scart socket and send it to any room in the house via rf...

    Those TM's are satellite receivers.

Also, let's not confuse RF Out (which most DTT STB's have) with RF Modulators, which is what I think the OP wants...

A seperate modulator is probably the handiest, like what Steveon mentioned.

That Icecrypt linked above is probably one of few to have a modulator, and of course that won't work with Saorview (not that you asked, but for the avoidance of doubt).

MPEG4 wise, all that comes to mind is a Technomate TM6900, which is a combi.

I know I should have specified an r.f modulator in the original question.
I'm only interested in replacing like for like and so a seperate modulator like the triax would add too much to the price.
Are there no saorview or mpeg 4 terrestrial boxes with modulator ?

Only receiver I found was a Triax TR105.

Not MPEG-4 according to the manual.

Oh! I hadn't noticed the OP's last post specifying MPEG4. As Freeview boxes had been mentiooned previously.

    Ah well...

It would appear to be so; do you still have a VCR? Wouldn't the RF out from that do what you want with a box connected via scart?

I posted one ages ago... it is about €50, but it isnt Saorview approved. I'll have to go through my old posts to find it.

    Done: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=69331155&postcount=62
    Will work fine for Saorview.
DI-WAY T-100HD RF (PVR and RF Modulator built in)
