Headphones remote don't work since IOS 5 upgrade

I have an iPhone 4 with the standard Apple earphones with remote. Since I upgrade the phone, the remote no longer works. Has anyone else noticed this? P.

Just tried my 3GS (iOS5) with the Apple headphones, and all functions on the remote works fine for me. My Klipsch ones work fine too.

Check your headphone port for lint. I had that issue a few times where the remote wouldn't work, and it turned out to be a fleck of tissue at the bottom of the headphone port causing an obstruction.

I updates iTunes last night and synced and now my remote in headphones don't work.

Just restarted the phone and that seemed to fix it. Phew! Find the remote very handy when out running!
