Boards.ie hack - Were you affected?

    Remember the hack in Jan 2010? Do you know anybody here that was affected? I am aware the case is ongoing, but has there been any action taken? Where do you reckon those database details end up? I think this was just an attempt to unmask identities of the posters.

    Kudos to boards.ie though, they handled it professionaly given the difficult context. Vbullitin like any large scale software system can never be entirely bug free. I hope all of you have changed your password to something reasonable:cool:

    I hate this notion that people who break into systems are "hackers". No, a hacker is someone who advances the state of the computing industry, not illegally break into systems. Scumbags imo. There is no justification for it whatsoever.
