Storage Heating Dimplex XLN Help Please!!!

    i am moving into my new house this week and has 3 storage heaters downstairs Dimplex XLN, i have no idea how to us them like, here is pictures of them dscf0582j.jpg
    first question what is the gage on the side with numbers from 1 to 6??
    i understand the input and output i think, but why is there 2 switches on the wall to operate the storage heater??

    this is a picture i got online but its the same thing just switches are above each other not beside, ANOTHER thing is the say night meter? has -2 - 4 day and night what do these things mean?? and when u just turn off storage heater from the wall is it just turned off then?? would turning on the storage heater when u are cold work ?? badly need advice dont wanna move in and get a bill for 4o0 euros thanks alot.. :mad:
