    anyone seen this?
it is plainly visible from the nissan service station. its fairly big and tbh i didn't think it would be a great location for a windmill.
anyone any idea who owns it or is a test windmill for bigger ones at a later stage?

Its just the standard colour that makes it stand out. If it was an olive green it would blend into the backround and never even be noticed.

Any householder can put up a 13m high one without planning permission subject to other restrictions.

definetly the white colour makes them stand out it was really visible yesterday evening with the sunlight reflecting of of it, not so much so this morning when i was going to work with the sun behind it. it would make an awfull lot of sense if it was part of the planning requirements if they were to be in camoflauge colours.

Had a look out for it at lunch time - I was looking along the cunnigar, based on the detailed drawing above. Are you sure that's to scale? *smilie*

from what i could gather, i think it belongs to the harty's and they are using it for their oyster operation.
seemingly it cost in the region of €40k, and is capable of 12KW output in the right conditions.
