Speaker/earpiece problem

On my s2 I notice that when using apps like haytell and tango, that the sound always comes from the speaker instead of the earpiece. That is when i've the speaker option enable in the app, the sound comes from the speaker and when I've it disabled...it still comes from the speaker? Now for the likes of viber and normal…

Now for the likes of viber and normal calls....there's no problem. Is this likely to be a problem with the individual apps? The girlfriend has the same phone and there's no issues on the above apps on her's.

Anyone know what this is caused by? I'm using LR v6.1
