Personally I don't see what the issue is, and would actually like to see France do it. I know the way they've conducted themselves throughout the tournament hasn't enamoured them to many people but they're in the final on merit, they beat the teams standing in their way when they had to (not getting drawn in to a card discussion here either)

France are probably the best rugby nation not to have won a Web Ellis yet, maybe this current crop aren't the best team they've had in world cups but I still wouldn't begrudge them a win.

In actual fact having spent the summer in New Zealand and witnessing the build up to the world cup ( I left after the group stages) the condescending manner in which New Zealand rugby looks down on the rest of the world, especially northern hemisphere teams makes me want France to do one on them. New Zealand (not the all blacks, don't buy in to the mythical status they bestow upon themselves) feel they have a god given right to this world cup, a reality check would do them and their media a world of good. But in truth I can't see France winning, a good contest would be satisfactory.

By the way i'm living in wales now and to hear some of the delusionary remarks regarding Wales' potential to win the world cup if they'd beaten France when they proved they didn't have the cojones to win a semi-final, and at the same time predicting NZ to put 60 points on France is laughable, and this was a conversation I overheard between two university lecturers

It means that the French would have done enough to win the world cup and the all blacks yet again fail to beat the French in the knockout stages of the world cup, this time in their home tournament.
This is knockout rugby and this is what happens whether people think they deserve it or not.

It's a WC final, the French may be out of form but IMO they're one of 3 or 3 times that has the talent and the firepower to beat the All Blacks

Still think the Kiwis should win but if the French turn up and it gets tight the nerves will start to show

Also, the French have nothing to lose, the kiwis have everything to lose, it's not an option

Plus they have not been good since 2010... I think it would break a lot of the AB players.. Richie, carter etc.

If they play anywhere near their potential though the ABs will win.
