I have the Apple iPhone 4 and yesterday was without service for most of the afternoon due to trouble upgrading to iOS 5, I have been looking at the Samsung Europa as cheap backup phone just to have incase I lost or my phone broke etc?

I know very little about Android so what I am asking you tech-heads is if I get this Samsung is there an app I can download from the App store that will jailbreak it, i.e. to make it sim-free, I can get it from Three for €39 which is less than I spend on the iPhone contract in a month and if I could make it sim-free I'd buy it as although I'm with Three anyway I'd like to be able to have it as a fall back for my family who are on different networks also. Having a spare phone is very handy.

There is currently no app in the marketplace (or anywhere online as far as I know) to do that I'm afraid.

    Yup,nothing on Android..

The OP was asking if you could get the phone unlocked so you could use it on any network.

That's exactly what I done with My one. And I used that service I provided in the link above.

Mine was locked to "Three" but not anymore....Different network sim in it now,,and it's working perfect.
