hi all i have my vu+duo in the kitchen and want to be able to watch the channels in my bedroom, theres no rf out on the vu+.
i know you can stream with laptop etc but i dont fancey watching that way.

anyone know if you can change the channels on the vu+duo from my bedroom with the av digi senders?,i see some 5ghz senders for sale in argos.
but it would only really be of use to me if i could change the channels from my room.

is there a remote eye on these new av digi senders that allows you to be able to change channel on the vu+duo in the kitchen from my room?.

any help or advice would be great cheers.

I use some old (@6yrs) 2.4ghz video senders to view/control my Vu+ via their built in IR Blasters, when I'm in my Bedroom(Box in sitting room) and apart from the occasional bit of RF interference when I have my laptop on and close to the receiver ;)
    I've never had a prob.

cheers for the replys lads,am gonna go for these http://www.tvtrade.ie/5.8ghz-wireless-av-sender.html

there 5.8ghz and less prone to interference than the 2.4ghz senders, and the have ir sensors so no probs regarding changing channels from the bedroom :)

Dreamon, is a nifty little remote control, the other is Dreambox live, you can stream to your Iphone using your wifi network.

if its enigma 2, why dont you just watch via a laptop? You can change channel and watch tv via a web interface or vlc player? Video senders arent the best solution, even 5.8ghz

have tryed streaming etc with vlc player and its all hassle to be honest, having to turn on laptop and vlc,i just prefer a quick style soloution like turning on your tv and channel hopping.

I know you said you had an iphone but for anyone else with an android phone, dreamdroid is a great app and would do exactly what the OP requested over the wifi network. you can also scan through the epg, recorded files etc. the iphone apps suggested by irish geo might do the same??

i use 5.8 av senders for tv from living room to bedroom via a vuduo
works grand, the odd bit of interference now and then.
And yes, they come with IR sensors just like any other sender.

Do you have an old video player around? I scart my VU+ Duo into the video and use the RF out to bring the signal to the bedroom. You can then use Dreamon Remote to change channels.
