Updating iPhone software on someone else's PC

Basically my missus has no internet at the mo and I want to update her phone for her. I've already updated my own so it's stored on my computer, I assume. I've found the location:

    Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

Does anyone know if I copy and paste that into the corresponding folder on her PC will I then be able to update her iPhone without having to download the update? The reason I want to copy and paste rather than plug it into my iTunes is that when my brother did the same last week it forced him to restore when he next connected the iPhone to his own iTunes, even though I didn't sync or anything like that with my library.

As long as its the same model phone yes, it should be an ispw file. If its a different model you can download the software through links at iclarified.com.
