Not sure what you are on about Elmo, I don't see it posted anywhere else.

Anyways...Channel TV, the little station that could. Looked and felt like an ITV plc region but was still independently owned. In more recent years made quite of bit of money in a side business doing network compliance for ITV plc and indies. The reason it did this was that as its turnover was tiny, the maximum fine it could be hit with by ITV plc was tiny. It was to get its hands on this business that ITV plc has bought Channel TV.

Its a pity because it will probably lead to the end of the only domestic television the Channel Islands have, and have them reduced to (if lucky) the status of a sub-opt of Meridian or Westcountry (which is itself a sub-opt of ITV West now). The BBC serves the islands with a sub-opt of Spotlight.

Aside from local news and Oscar the Puffin, it is only ITV1 already.

Assume this should be in Broadcasting. Sorry if it was posted in other areas of CABLE AND DIGITAL TV.

Hi Elmo i think 99.9% of people know exactly what you mean............ too many forums under Tech, i suggest that broadcasting could be at least be merged with satellite and cable and digital.
foreign satellite could be merged with satellite,it is a pain going through the lot when a person has limited time.

most only want news or help on Sky UPC or Saoirview.

I have being saying this for about 5 years (when did they restructured Cable and Digital TV) and shot down every time :(

And by some new restructure we might get a conversation going in Broadcasting.

    Anyway OTT but thanks.
