Why are they all so overtly sexual in their performances and videos, is this all they have going for them, is there nothing more to them?

I just read today how Rihanna got naked in a field and wanted to have sex on a tractor, fair play to the farmer who wouldn't stand for it. My feeling is these "celebs" love themselves a little too much. It's actually infuriating having to see their stupid faces on the front page of the newspaper everyday, granted it's mostly tabloid nonsense.

Also Britney gets naked and has sex in a shower for her new music video, what a role model for her children she is.

Music and sex are inextricably linked. Especially any music linked to dancing. Plus on a more practical level, they are commodities and sex sells.

Also, Lady GaGa and Beyonce have far more going for them than sex. GaGa is a classically trained musician.

Well, Lady Gaga and Beyonce are genuinely talented pop stars in my opinion. However, having said that, they are products and sex sells unfortunately, so they have to use sexuality to augment their talent if they want to become brands.

I do think Gaga is genuinely talented but she's such an attention whore and she just tries too hard of late, which p***es me off..

I think Rihanna is so tacky.. Some of her songs are catchy but thats pretty much it.. I have such respect for Beyonce... She is so amazingly talented and while she is very sexy in her videos, I also think she's very classy.

Out of the three of them Beyonce is the only truly amazing singer. Beyonce is among the very few singers today that can hit notes in the whistle register.

Lady GaGa's not any good she has a team of creative consultants who pretty much do all the gimmicky things for her that supposedly make her a 'fashionista'. She's not sexy either and I mean that in the way she sings, dances and presents herself, it's all very cold with no emotion like a lifeless cold lump of meat on a plate. And her songs are terrible 'Born This Way' she absolutely butchers. I mean 'chola descent' was added in just to rhyme like. She copied Madonna who herself was a plagerist. She's a terrible song writer albeit a mediocre musician who has plenty of help from producers. And that's why she's successful, she has a good disco tune, the gay community love her and that's why there are so many women superstars now like these 'musicians' as well as Oprah (whose market btw is middle aged house wives) and that's because women are responsible of 80% of all consumer spending and have on average 75% disposable income.
