Good (Wet) Tyres for a Mitsu L200?

I currently have the stock Bridgestone Dueler HT tyres on my L200.. I have always found them somewhat poor in the rain.. Time has come to replace them, and when I went looking at some reviews of the Dueler they were universally poor..

So I have decided to move to another brand.. I will be replacing the front 2 tyres (the rears being in good condition).. I live out in the sticks, so while I don't go offroad I will have to deal with snow/ice/wet during the winter.. I do about 60 miles a day commute, so would like something reasonably durable.. and of course would prefer to keep the cost reasonable :)

Any ideas? or good experience with other brands?

BF Goodrich, do a range of tread patterns and there's several recent threads on the subject.

I did read a few and the BFG AT's seem to be well respected.. Would an all terrain tyre take a hammering doing motor way miles during the day? ie. a purely on road would be better, or would the difference be negligible..

If no difference, then i think the AT's would be a good fit..

A quality A/T should last as long as a road bias tyre and BFG longevity is well known. You start to lose mpg if you go to an M/T tyre

Thanks 101Sean.. Appreciate the help.. I'll order a couple..

Edit - NM on the rest.. I checked out the BFG website and it looks as though the AT is all season..

I have BFG AT's on a Pajero. No issues with motorways etc. Brilliant tyre IMHO.

Thanks.. Got what seems a good deal from Naas Tyres.. €150 per tyre including fitting... which is the same price (obviously not including fitting) as getting them from Camskill..

Yep, definitely a good price, more dealers here are getting competitive at last!

Just a quick update.. Loving the new tyres.. Lads down in Naas Tyres were great.. even swapped my front left tyre (sub 1K miles on it) with my semi bald spare for free..

Loving the new tyres, slightly more noise than the originals which is to be expected, but the grip is amazing in comparison.. As a result, have decided to get the rear two done in a couple of weeks..

Many thanks.. BFG AT's were an excellent suggestion.
