I have bad anxiety on and off for about 3 years now, was on lustral and zanax for about a year then got pregnant and stopped taking all pills, the anxiety disappeared for the whole pregnancy then came back worse when baby was 3months, so came back about 3-4 weeks ago. went back on lustral, zanax and stilnoct to sleep it does not seem to be getting any better but i know the pills take time to work. basically i get most anxious about a plane crashing into my house! sounds funny i suppose but its really bad im constantly watching the skies! and panic when i see a plane! im not a depressed person its more of a fear of lots of things. i know pill are only short term does anyone have any suggestions as to the types of therapy that would stop the anxiety or make it stop all together!? im more afraid now that im a mother last thing i want is to pass on my irrational fears to my daughter, any advice / past experiences would be great to hear

your after taking the biggest step and thats looking for therapy. i would advise you to go to your GP about this and ask to be referred to an anxiety management group. from my own experience, CBT worked a treat for me and its proving to be the best effective treatment for anxiety. send me a pm if you would like more details.

Hi SarahC11, as per the Charter and the Mental Health Advice stickies, we cannot give advice to individuals about their own issues, so I have to lock this thread. Personal issues is the place to go...I think! You'd have to check their charter. It's ok to ask general questions.
