Investing - In different countries?

Sorry if the title seems misleading.

I've been lurking around these boards for some time now and I am only deciding to raise my head about the waters.

Ive a couple of questions i would like to ask on the subject on investing.
First of all, Ive read extensively on investment (At least the Basic/semi Intermediates). So im not a pig(Investment term intended) or anything like it.

My question is, I will want to relocate to another country with a very different time zone to say the least in the future(doesnt matter when). What implications will there be if i want to trade.(Lets Say day trade and as a source of income, I already have other assets. But as extra income in the future. Could I invest in other stocks in LSE and NYSE. I understand time zones will be a factor, but will there be anything else. Like associated taxes. Or do I have to use the SE of the country ill be residing.

Another question is if i use a online trading account. When you sell shares, how long does it take from the funds to clear into your account assuming your not using a DRIP program and hold onto your share. (I hope i'm correct on these terms, please correct me if i'm wrong)

    Any help would be tremendous!:D

The first thing you need to do is find out about the law of the country you are moving to. Without you disclosing which country you will reside in, it will be difficult for anybody to answer some of your questions.

The US and UK operate residence jurisdiction tax systems, which means anybody who is ordinarily resident in one of these countries, will pay tax on their income, irrespective of where it is earned. As far as I know, in the US, you will be taxed as a resident, unless you have filled out a W8-Ben form. I'm not sure how you go about this in the UK.

When you sell shares, you will receive the money at the end of the settlement cycle. I believe most stock markets now trade T+3, which means the funds will clear 3 days after you sell them.
