Dublin Melodic Rock Band Madisun Seeks Lead Guitarist

    Madisun are a melodic rock band from Dublin, comprising of guitars, bass, piano and drums. After being together for under 8 months the band have recieved much positive press and a slot at the Oxegen festival, only on the back of a roughly recorded home demo and gigs around Dublin.


    Our lead guitarist left us shortly after we played Oxegen this summer, we need to replace him ASAP as we have a studio demo for distribution to labels coming up at the end of December and need to be ready for it and the gigs and opportunities after it, We have the right management, and songs ready to make it happen.

    We need someone who is around our age (18-21), can play very well with a metronome, has a good ear for melody, knows their scales and notes like the back of their hand and is able to improvise over songs.

    We need someone with good stage presence, comfortable playing in front of large crowds. Most importantly, someone extremely dedicated who wants to make playing in and practicing with band their top priority. Backing vocal abilities would also be a plus.

    If you feel you can be the person to fill this role for us, get back to me with details on yourself (age, location, playing ability, metronome ability, musical education (if any), years playing, gigging experience, etc), and hopefully we can get you in for an audition.

    Im 17 , live in Tallaght , I was in the top 16 of 250 for an RTE guitar competition about 2 years ago , came 2nd to a 28-year old guy on Radio NOVA's Axe murderer competition ..I do music as a subject in school . Playing about 4.5 years and have some gigging experience ... I can also pick things up very quickly by ear.. Main guitar influences would be Angus Young , Joe bonamassa , BB King , Ritchie Blackmore , Slash , Freddy King , Gary Moore , Hendrix , Jimmy Page , Billy Gibbons , Scott gorham and brian robertson , EVH etc...

    Have proper gear for gigging (marshall JMP , gibson sg and more..) and Im a lefty...
