Reminded about this guy when I was reading about Demarco's big win at the weekend, a fight I heard was good to watch, but have yet to find a link...

Just wondering where people think Valero would have ended up if he wasn't a nutcase and a cretin outside the ring. What level do you think he'd have reached...

Seen him fight several times and was never impressed. He didn't beat anyone all that good, and he was very crude. Just didn't see what the fuss was with him. Similar to how I didn't see the fuss with Maidana.

He was definitely crude, he was coming into the big fights just before it happened. Very powerful, wild.

Though I thought Gamboa was a bit crude in his first 10 fights and he ended up just fine.

Gamboa may look crude, but that guy has serious talent, and has that amateur pedigree. Gamboa loves to be wild and frenetic, but he sure can move and pace and box too.

Overrated, not powerful, just an accumulation puncher.

Would have gotten KTFO sooner or later.
