Trouble with apps 'not on iPhone' not restoring

I downloaded the new 5.0 upgrade, I'm missing alot of apps, however they appear in the purchased and 'not on iPhone' section on the app window, they don't appear when connected to iTunes after a sync..... How do I 1) restore them in bulk 2) delete selected apps permantely from the phone, iTunes and purchased and ' not on…

Nearly every App I had on the old OS no longer works since I upgraded.
Basically the APP will start and then just resets to the desktop...
:mad:
