iPhone 4S not working on O2 Network

    Afternoon,

I got a couple iPhone 4S last Friday from Belfast for myself and a few others.

So far I've managed to get Meteor, Vodafone, and Three working problem free on the handsets. However there seems to be a big issue with O2.
The phone recognises the sim and connects to the network (full bars and network name) but it looks like its not registering on the network.
Texts, Calls and Data all fail and if you call from another line the phone is off. When I pop the sim back into a iPhone 4 or 3Gs everything works fine.

Anyone used an O2 SIM in the 4S yet?

I think there might be an IMEI registration issue.

Im with O2 and got a 4S on Friday. Replaced my regular sim in my 3GS with a micro SIM in an O2 store on Friday afternoon. Popped it in the 4s and absolutely no bother at all.

I was just about to post this :

OP, go into an 2 store and get a new blank Micro Sim and do a sim swap from your number to that, i'd nearly be certain this will fix your problem.

Same thing happened to me on three yesterday, rang them up, and they offered to swap my phone to the new sim card, and told me my phone would work fine until te swap. soon as I hang up, messages start bouncing, no data, can;'t receive texts/calls. and they took my credit.....

Guys this seems to be an O2 only problem, but I tried this for a friend and it worked: remove the sim from the 4s, place it in a 4 (or a normal phone if you have an adaptor) and disable the pin. Then put it back in the 4s and it should work
