Holiday Entitlement Query

    I have 4 days annual leave left for the rest of this year, I have handed my notice in as I am starting a new job next month. I have been told I can only take a half day annual leave as it is worked out pro rata'd.

    Can someone who knows about this area let me know if this is correct? I was expecting to be able to take my full 4 days..

    If I used them all up before I handed in my notice I would have been entitled to do so :confused:

    If this is in the wrong section feel free to move it on..

    No, this is correct. If you had taken your four remaining days you would be deducted 3 & a half days pay from your final paycheque. The four days that you are 'due' is based on the assumption that you would still be in your same employment until the end of the year.

    Similarly, if you hadn't taken any annual leave throughout the year you would be entitled to be paid extra for the days accumulated but not taken until you finished.
