    I'm in Waterford City, so....

    Gregory's Menswear, Patrick Street.
    Tony Roche's Menswear, Georges Court.
Heroes (Fitzgeralds, aswell, same owner), Barrandstrand Street.
    J.C. Originals, Patrick Street.

If I think of any others I'll add them in later.

    Good luck with the venture.

Most main streets in Ireland will ahve a decent mens shop or two. Dublin is full of over priced shopping centres with over priced stores.

Quite a few in Wexford town, Fitgzeralds, Hores etc.
    Couple in Enniscorthy too.

It'll be more likely to be smaller provincial towns that you'll find the most in.

Have you thought of approaching Shaws buyers?

    Limerick
Connolly's have 7 stores - 4 on Patrick Street, 3 in the Crescent.
Mike O'Connell - Catherine Street. Specialise in plus sizes, but do everything
    Sextons - Thomas Street
    Noels - Wickham Street

There's another place up by South's Pub on O'Connell Avenue but the name escapes me, and a place in the Parkway Shopping Centre

There's one or 2 more on Thomas Street

In Bray (second largest town in Ireland and with only one decent mens clothes shop) you have 'Allens' (01)2863678

Hi Ctbfashion, Something might help is to search online to get listings by location.

For example I went to www.yourlocal.ie there for you and typed "Menswear Shops" into the 'I'm looking for' box and then specified a location and a list of them came up. You could do this for the locations you are interested in?

I have no connection to the website it can just be very handy when looking up by location.

Don't be surprised if you get told no by everyone - selling somethign new over the phone is near to impossible.

You've 2 ways to approach this.

1 - Get a list of names / addresses together (golden pages will have this), post them out some basic information and say that you will call them in a few days to discuss. At the very least they'll know what you are about and also they will have a little information about the product.

2 - Get in a car and drive into all the main towns in Ireland. A good nationwide rep would cover the country in less than 2 weeks and you can decided yourself before entering a store if your product will sell there.

Another tip - don't jst call into every mens shop. Ask yourself if the product you sell is suitable for the store you are entering. Is the price point correct, is the image correct.

Finally don't sell on credit or at very least get 50% of invoice paid. Do not offer sale or return and don;t take the sale if you have any doubts about the retailer. - Thankfully anyone who has survived the last 3 years will probably survive forever, but you have to be careful.
