    Hi,
I bought a car that I found on the internet and he gave me directions to a car dealer. I went to the Garage and he showed me the car. I bought the car from the garage and went home. When I got home I found that there was a problem with the locks on the car, the car wont lock. So I brought the car back up to the Garage and they told me that actually I didn't buy it from them, I bought it from an employee, it was the employees own car that was sold. Nothing to do with the Garage they just let him sell it from there.

The employee who sold it to me said that he would "try" to fix it if I brought it back the next day. I came back and then the employee doesn't work on that day. So the Garage took it from me and said they would give it to him to be fixed.

Now although they say that they are going to fix it, if they don't could the Garage be liable in anyway?

    Thanks

All they will tell you to do is see a solicitor.

OP, if the invoice/reciept for the car (you got one, right?) is from the employee, your contract is with him and your pretty much on your own.

If the invoice/reciept is from the dealers, you have rights.

    simple.
