    Hi,

I have been diagonosied with T2 Diabeties. I have got the long term illness book for my meds. I am also a member of the VHI thorugh my work scheme. My wife and child are also under this scheme.

    - My questions is, Do I still need to be in the VHI ?

    Thanks.

your wife and child are on the scheme according to your post. No one can tell you if you still want or need insurance

yeah - you still need to be in the VHI (as much as you did before you were diagnosed). the LTI book only covers your meds for diabetes, you still need insurance for consultants visits and any other illnesses, assuming you don't want to go public.
