Father's income limit for grant acceptance

Hello,
Anyone help me with this. Dad's gross income is 54k and net income about 40k. Two childers in family (12 + 17). Will my 17 year old qualify for grant on my income? We own nothing, and are in rental accomodation paid in full by ourselves.
Any help/answers appreciated.

Hi if id been asked last year i could have told you everythin but theres been alot of changes to the grants. As far as i know though they dont take your rent into account.

Thanks, but I've been through these sites and none mention whether it is Gross or Net income they take into account. I've seen the tables they have and they don't mention what the amounts are for, i.e. before or after income tax.

If anyone has more info, we have 2 children.
