    Hi,

I have used macs for ages now in University for audio recording but have never decided to get one as I have been windows user. But since my laptop is getting old I am thinking of getting a macbook pro. I have however found one of the last models of the macbook 2009 models which has the firewire and specs near the newer pros... As this will only be used for audio recording and editing for college (mixing tracks on pro tools, recording using mbox 3, creating foley sounds etc...) I am wondering if this is an ideal purchase?

These are the specs i can get from the add...
    13 inch white macbook 120gb hardrive 3gb ram 2.1ghz core 2 duo

Any help would be great , as I am not overly experienced with Mac system selections

    Thank you :D

    hard drive is small.
processor is "ok" but out-dated now.
is it actually new? if you get it for a very good price shouldn't be an issue. should do the job for your needs, once you're not going to need a bigger hard-drive. well usb hard-drives are cheap enough these days.

Cheers for the reply. I have 1TB external hard drive. Thinking I might just say and get student discount macbook pro for 8:70.

All depends on the price. I certainly wouldnt be paying a lot for a machine with those specs tbh.
