Lets say a Computer has 3 User Accounts.

    1. The Admin (never used)
    2. Standard User
    3. Standard User

Now if the Person using Account 3 picks up Spyware can it pick up anything from Account 2 or is it strictly limited to Account 3?

What sort of Privileges does the Guest Account have? If you were to let a noob use that on your Computer, can anything get from that Account to the others?

I've never used a Linux Live CD (been meaning to for ages:rolleyes:) could I let someone use that and download to an external HDD without it interfering with a Windows install on the internal HDD?

    Depends

in theory if setup correctly only common folders should be affected

but in practice one of the real killers is that security holes in windows can go undetected/unannounced/unpatched for years

Yeah, I thought it would still be risky.

    Thanks Cap.

It cant under normal circumstances access the other account but it is possible.

YES YES YES, any virus/malware infects the system not the user account.

Yes, boot from a live CD/USB, just make sure you don't to an install.
