With cross country starting up and with Gerry Farnham on next week, I think its time to predict the top 6 at Inter Counties for men and women...Anyone want to chip in here? I would guess Connolly, Ledwith, Maher, Thornton and Kenneally won't race inter counties, or will they? Sean hehir seems to be running well, as do the boys in america, O Neill and Rooney...will they come back for it? Be a great race if they do....Joe Sweeney is probably the man to beat in the mens.....as for womens....linda byrne prob won't do it after marathon will she? what about mary cullen, deirdre byrne, finnualla briton? Wouldn't put it past maria mccambridge to race it. With top 2 being automatically selected for Europeans, it leaves the door open for athletes in america and those doing marathons to stroll onto the team with doing the trial...i don't agree with this myself, think it should be 4 automatic or 5 automatic....it will turn the inter counties into a joke if its like this every year...anyway heres my top 6, please add to this and make it interesting....

The time to predict top 6 is about 24hours before the race when you know who is going to compete.

Won by a Lagan Valley athlete Conal Kirk I think with Peter Gibbons Letterkenny second.

I was after hearing Sean Tobin Clonmel AC was 3rd in Junior men.

Yeah Sean was third. The U18s were omitted from the junior results.
