its a 02 1 litre corsa and was gonna change the drive belt as its fairly cracked and showing signs of wear, had a look at it today and it looks like a fairly awkward job, looks like have to remove an engine bracket to get the belt on, is it straight forward doing this? would i need to support underneath? never came across such an awkward one when just replacing a drive belt!

Its fairly straight forward but you do need to remove the engine mount and it would be easier of you had a set of torx sockets as bolts fixings on opels are torx.

Just support the engine using a jack(make sure to use some wood or similar so as not to damage the sump), remove the engine mount then the belt is tensioned by a spring tensioner towards the rear of the engine.
