Blood Transfusion Service Nerve Damage

Looking to see if i'm the only person to have been unfortunate enough to have got nerve damage from my last visit to the Blood Transfusion Service. Looks like the nurse that looked after me accidently hit and damaged a nerve when extracting the needle.
Have been getting sharp bangs through the arm ever since, some slight numbness and occasional Pins and Needles. Appointment made with specialist for early November.
Anyone else experience something similar ?
