    The boards are socket FM1 which aren't great - very good integrated graphics for a system that you want to keep compact but poor processing power so bad idea for rendering. Not a great looking upgrade future for this line.
    The second board only has two slots for RAM.

    The first RAM is triple channel, which is for Intel's 1366 socket. You should buy RAM in pairs. Do you really need that much RAM? 4GB is more than enough for modern games and programs. 8GB is plenty for high end users. 16GB+ for very heavy professional users. Anyhow, RAM is pretty cheap at the moment so it can be fit in, it's just a case of spreading the money as best as possible.

    Hard drive is a green drive. Good for storage but slow.

    Could you check out this thread for a guideline of questions that you should answer for the kind of system you have in mind. You've already answered a good few of them, but just check out the rest please.
