Ferrari proportions look wrong to me

didnt somebody do an entire rangerover conversion based on an 80s one with even the interior and engine off the new model ? pretty cool considering it can be done , if you found a damaged rr sport and had an old p38 one handy i suppose it might be worth doing

A Range Rover Sport is sad in itself, but a P38 converted to look like one is just pure pathetic!

    FAIL tbh.

P38 is seperate chassis and live axles whereas L332 and Sport are monocoque.. no parts are common.

Conversion is a (to be fair) nicely made bodykit.

Fake RR Sport + fake Ferrari. Can't see the guy on the pictures bu I bet he has a fake Role or Tag Heuer on his hand as well. :pac:

Is the Sport not based on the Disco3 which does use a ladder frame and a monocoque, so I assume the sport is the same?

    Yes it is.

Don't know about the chassis being ladder frame though.

One of the best old RR to RRS conversions I've seen anyway, although I still don't really see the point in spending probably a sizable amount to convert them when you can pick up a good example with an asking of 17/18k. If you wanted to convert a RR I think the best conversions are, for example, getting a 2002/2003 RR and getting it converted to the new 2010 model - there are some almost perfect examples on the UK ebay motors site and elsewhere I'm sure.

Here's an example of a 2002 one converted, looks perfect - well worth the few thousand investment if you were looking to upgrade from an old RR.

In the UK I see the attraction.... but here... with the 02 XX 1234 plate we will always know you're driving the equivalent of a toupe. ;)

True, even still I saw someone who did the '06 facelift on their '02 RR and it looked great, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I looked down and saw the reg. And theres also ways to disguise the plates a bit. Seen a few '03s with strategically placed screws making them look like '08s haha

Be useless off road on those tyres but I suspect it will never go there

Sport and Discovery are made on the same production line on same platform, they do have a chassis but not what you'd call a classic Land Rover one. Neither bear any relation to the P38 or the L322.

Personally I think they ruined the look of the full fat Rangie when they facelifted it.

Saw a P38 on what looked like 08 plates recently, the 08 had a tiny pieces of black and white tape that were supposed to make it in to the 98 it should be have been
