    Hi,

Is there anyone out there in the same position as me?

I have just recently joined Blarney and as I am a stranger, originally from Glasgow, I don't know anyone with whom I can get a regular weekly game.

I have played with several members and they have all been very nice and friendly, a lot more friendly than the members of my last club in England, but they seemed to be in established groups and I have never been invited back to play again with anyone.

So in short I'm looking for new members in the same position as me who would like to play a weekly friendly game with a lapsed 15 handicap, middle aged, well I am 52, golfer.

Any takers let me know via this forum.

Does Blarney or clubs in general do anything to help new members meet up & set up friendly outings ? What can they do ? Or is just a case of putting down your name on timesheet for weekly comp and asking your playing partners to swap phone numbers ? I'm joining a club in Jan and want to know the best way to get involved and find members to go out with regulary too.

Kenny, there's a couple of Blarney members here who I'm sure would be glad to get out with you.

I'm not a member there but if feel free to PM me if your ever stuck for a playing partner for a friendly game.

Well my auld china the way I've been playing it's like I'm only a beginner. Still shouldn't be too harsh on myself I've only started playing again after a six year break. If you fancy a game give me a shout.
