I brewed this up earlier, ended up with 49L with FG of 1050. Probably will keg some and bottle the rest. The chinook hops smelled good and will try an all chinook beer sometime. I adjusted my water (alkalinity as CaC03 85 ppm) for a pale ale profile with dls and crs. I tested another brewers water recently and his reading came in at about alkalinity as CaC03 reading of 400 ppm, damn thats hard water :D

Chinook can be a bit harsh, but you'll know yourself from this one how well it works as a flavour hop.

Ye a lot say that, yet the cohumulone level is quite similar to cascade. I brewed a pale ale earlier in year with chinook added at 60 and 30 min and finished with colombus. I think it turned out well, cannot remember:) I really must take notes on how my beers turned out. This guy don osborne has an excellent log on his beers
