Haven't tried em in consoles. Give it a shot Or just buy a hdmi cable and hook up your laptop to your tv. ;)

Make sure you convert them into Xvid format if you want to play them in a console, also forget the PS3, it has Cinivia protection which will give you a headache (anti piracy yoke) so even if you own the DVD and make a personal rip you'll run into problems on certain DVDs

    1) Decrypt and rip to HDD using DVDFabHDDecrypter ('DVD Copy' option). This option still works even after trial period expires.

    2) Convert to H.264 in MP4 using Handbrake 'normal' preset.
-Use RF of about 17-20 (lower number gives higher quality but bigger file)
-Audio AC3 passthrough should be okay with most devices.

That gives an MP4 that should be fairly widely compatible with PS3, Xbox, Apple devices etc. If you're having trouble with audio try AAC instead of AC3.

Over the last few days I have put 35 DVds onto an external hardrive using Handbrake and found it trouble free.
