    Hi,
How can I minimise the fees payable to TD Waterhouse on the share trading account?

I emailed them last week (and have since sent in my application form). Once your a/c value is >€5k then there are no recurring chanrges, just trade charges (which seem to be pretty cheap).

I'm moving from NIB, who have just introduced quarterly fees

Cool, so if i own at least 5k of shares, then only per trade charges apply and nothing else?
Is this what they confirmed with you in the email?

they don't charge the inactivety fee. I don't think there are any other supplemental charges?

I got an email off them today saying their making changes to some fees but I think its to do with foreign exchange. hvent had a chance to read it properly yet

I would avoid TD if you can help it.
I still use them but after todays email regarding fx rates increases I am now looking elsewhere to do business.

Also, their customer service is pretty dreadful.

Took me 5 months to transfer shares across from an Australian register when it should have only took a max of 5 weeks so I was told.
