BMW 5 series E60 Tail Lights

    Just wondering if anybody knows would the 2008 5 series tail lights fit a 2006 5 series thanks.

    Yes, they will fit since it's the same shape.

    They will fit but the wiring is different. You will need a new wiring loom and adapter to get them working.

    Looking at 200 sterling for kit on eBay.

    2006 E60 rear lights are standard halogen, 2008 LCI E60 rear lights are LED. The housing is interchangeable but as mentioned the wiring looms are different.

    It's a lot easier to change the lights in a pre LCI than post LCI 5 series.
    Especially with HDi /Angel kits..it's apparently impossible in the post LCI without hacking your light fittings :(
    I've been search all over the web on it :(

    i bought a 2007 5 series the other day could i buy after market lights and would it be as simple as plug and play??

    Nope...is it the pre-lci or post lci model.
    Anything after March in 2007 would be the post cli and have the led lights etc..

    I wont work unfortunately. Wiring is completely different , and if you do get it wired in, the leds will not work properly and you will get the bulb alarm. needs extra relays in place, messy enough

    just got these lights done...got a plug and play relay, look great and makes the back of the car!!!

    nice...that's the good thing about the pre-lci ones..very easy to change the lights/angel eyes etc..
