Hi all,was looking at the new Clulite MLS-1 Masterlite Supreme. http://clulite.cluson.co.uk/led-gun-lights/347-masterlite-supreme-gunlite.html looks good. could be nice for a bit of foot-patrol looking for charlie:D. I'm looking at it as I don't usually have a buddy to hold the lamp for me and it is a real pain in the arse on your own:(. What do ye think? cheers LR

I always reacon your better shooting foxes on your own anyway- even if I go with someone they only do the scanning and when a fox is spotted I take over with the scope mounted torch. It can save valuable seconds as the light is always in the field of view. If your doing much lamping your also better off with a rechargable unit aswell as it can save a fortune on batteries. If you've decided on this unit I'd get a set of the filters aswell. I personally think scope mounted led torch/lamps are the way to go and most of the 100 plus foxes I've got this year have been with them but everyone has different requirements. I have a friend who shoots a lot of foxes and he wouldn't take a torch off me for anything- he uses a hand held lamp and a lithium battery pack- and in fairness it's a great setup aswell although expensive.

i bought one of them only last week it dont compare to the lightforce hand held lamp but it has fantastic performance you could spot charlies eyes a long way off and you will be very surprised if you do buy one

How do these compare to the P7 and m7r lenzers? Are they better than the P7 or about the same?

The rechargeable Lenser m7r is about the same money with a scope mount to give you an idea of what else is out there.
I have the m7r myself and I use it as a general purpose torch and gun light.
