Hitchens' Horrible Hypothesis

    This is Hitchens' anti-theist position:

"Who wishes that there was a permanent, unalterable celestial despotism that subjected us to continual surveillance and could convict us of thought-crime, and who regarded us as its private property even after we died?"

The man is truly a gifted orator with tremendous insight and the more I listen to him and read his work, the more I feel embarrassed of the gullibility of mankind.

The majority of the 'intelligent' species continues to fall for the fallacy of religion, even without a shred of evidence to justify their devotion and life sacrifice.

As humans evolve, my hope is that common sense (reality) prevails and secular society becomes the norm.

Not to mention that this being seems to have hardwired our brains so we find this idea abhorrent

A great man with the words. He once compared heaven to being at a party, you're never allowed to leave even if you get sick of it and the host insists on you having a good time.

In November, I'm going to see a conversation with Hitchens and Stephen Fry in London (Hitchens via Satellite). He's very close to the end so it'll be very special. Can't wait.
