Does anyone remember a small hovercraft that was in a yard
as you went down Alexander Street back in the 70's?
I'm sure there was one somewhere in the city!

Was it in that small car body shop or in the yard which used to be where those "town houses" now stand?

I do have a vague memory of boats in that yard so they may have been a mini hovercraft. That would be a rare enough sight in these parts.

    Wait - I've found it!

Some of the Engineering students in WIT built one like the one Mike's picture years and years ago if I remember correctly. I think it was red though. We only got to build a go-kart. :(
