any hardcore caffeine drinkers out there or any regulars who pick up any of these so called energy drinks when you need a kick?

iv gotten into a big habit of getting a can of relentless in me around 12-1pm most days sometime's i get a good buzz and other days it does enough to get me through a slump in the day or before the gym.

is it just me or does anyone get a bigger buzz off 1 more so than the others?

i find relentless the best, red bull doesn't really work at all for me at all aswell as the cheaper brands in tesco and the likes.

weird thread ye but its being playing on my mind a bit :D am i the only 1 out there who spots the difference :D hopefully not....

I don't touch coffee or energy drinks....a good dose of mass is enough to keep me going.

Its a wonder the world did not grind to a halt before the advent of "energy" drinks.

I used to live on red bull/ Boost. Couple of bottles a day and an apple. Ended up having a nervous breakdown and severe withdrawls for ages.

No caffeine/ energy drinks for me anymore.

Don't drink any of them, closest I'd drink would be Lucozade

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

The shakes, sweat and general twitchyness

Professionally I would not advise anyone to drink them. The word "Energy" is very deceiving. Pump 50g of sugar into your system per can is only going to cause your pancreas to give out if you use these drinks over a long period.

You want a boost, cup of tea or coffee with a spoon a sugar, or a juice. Its cheaper and has been tested for decades.

Red Bull/Monster and the rest have made their way to market in the recent years. Yes 1 can is ok .... but some people are addicted to the stuff and in my opinion its only going to lead to a spike in type 2 diabetes.

I've tried a load of brands, i find Red Bull and it's generic copies give me no energy at all. Monster, Rockstar and Relentless do with Relentless being the most effective.

Saw a can of this in the shop the other day, not sure i want to try it tbh.

It has a calligraphy type branding which one finds it hard to read.

I don't get energy from energy drinks but red bull is the mutts nuts for keeping me awake into the wee hours.

OH yes I know it now, they were giving them out in college free one day, got about 8 cans of it :D Unreal. Isn't it like 2.50 otherwise though?

Jack3d... nectar of the gods... monster and redbull are for women and small children.

Yeah there was a Relentless distribution of drinks at UL as well but missed the giving out of them, lectures timed horribly :/
Cup of coffee in the morning, another midday, maybe 2 depending how many free hours I have, and one in the evening, again, maybe a couple more if it's going to be a long night.
I have had energy drinks but not a massive fan, plus have allergies to a few, Lucozade for example closes up my throat. Not good.
Drink tea on occasion too but generally if I want to wake up, a sugary coffee will do the job.

I remember one weekend myself and a few buddies decided we'd do a 24 hour videogaming session so off to Lidl we trotted to buy a slab each of this cheapo energy drink they did at the time call "Tiger" or "Cheetah" or somesuch.

This stuff tasted horrendous but nonetheless i drank like 12-14 cans in less than 2 hours (pouring it into a pint glass with ice) like the moron that i was. Fast forward 12 hours into the effort and i was having the most horrible feeling of my life of being incredibly tired and yet completely unable to relax because both my mind and heart were racing at a ridiculous pace.

I ended up going to bed and laying there for the guts of a day convinced i was going to have either a stroke or a heart attack. The lesson here is that cheapo energy drinks and youthful exuberance are a horrible mix.
