Lost all music and apps when updating to ios5

Hi My iphone4 is registered to my brothers PC. When he connected my iphone4 to update it io ios5 all music and apps have been lost - both on iTunes and on the phone. The PC indicated that everything was being backed up. But yet everything is lost. I know I can redownload the apps from the apps store. Can anyone help with…

Hi

If you downloaded the music from iTunes you can redownload it from there now too. If not, it would need to be on the computer to be synced back.

Music doesn't get backed up in the backup, it gets synced to and from the iTunes library. Restoring the phone won't be helpful in this case.

Thanks all. I went into ITunes on phone and found "purchased" icon where all my music was stored. It allowed me to download it to iCloud which then populated the music /iPod icon on phone. Whew!!
