Iberia plane at Shannon

Doing a college project and wondering if anyone has any information on the place which is stored by the industrial estate. From searches here I see it's used for rescue training - but does anyone know when it was left there, and also does anyone know anything about the small WESTAIR hangar beside it? From looking at aerial shots from 1995 there seems to have been another structure which has since been demolished - right where the Iberia plane lands now. Is the hangar only used intermittently for training purposes also?

There's a path going from the corner of the industrial estate road that leads to the hangar, this is now cut off by the wire fencing. Did there used to be no fence there (prior to 2001 perhaps) or did the fence go beyond and around the hangar?

    Link to google streetview

Interesting area around there, any information would be much appreciated. Thanks.

What information exactly are you looking for?
It may help if you advise what the project is about and how information on the iberia aircraft and westair hangar is relevant :)

Information on the history of the hangar / boundary of the airport at that location, why the plane ended up where it is. It's a primer project for a thesis, looking at the history of the free zone and its interaction with the airport, and specifically at this boundary.

Seems to be a good wealth of information on here so thought I might see if anyone knew anything!
