Just downloaded Kies for the galaxy 2 cause want a file manager for sorting out music, videos etc. Very unimpressed. Took ages to connect the phone, then all the music from the computer has uploaded to Kies without name or album of artist. Theire all just lobbed into the one file alphabetically. Any solution to this at all?

I just connect to my pc in usb storage mode to move and sort my media files. Never found a need to use kies.

It seems to freeze a lot alright. You
would think that there would be something better available.

I think Kies is actually alright. Never had it freeze up on me or anything.

If moving music files, do the artist, album details etc move with it onto the phone? Really sloppy music player on the GSII, any decent music app out there?

I thought the same until you go into the music player on the phone>settings>more>settings>music menu and check the box that says "folders" and voila all your music categorised by folders exactly how you'd see it on your computer.

Just did that there. Can see all the folders yea that's great. But it still doesn't seem to show the individual artists when I add artist view. Kind of annoying really. All my folders are named by the album, so artist is missing from them all.
