    Currently I'm running 2x 5870's on a triple monitor setup (5760x1080).
Runs all the usual titles fine but wouldn't mine some extra kick for BF3.

In the beta was only getting 50 - 60% usage between the cards on eyefinity on medium. I know on full release it will run much better but i was thinking of maybe getting a 6990.

Should i wait till 7000 series or just upgrade now ?

I have had 5870 crossfire, 6950 crossfire and 6870 crossfire.
All of which, at 6080x1200 resolution suffered from horrific microstutter.

I've been so appalled by it that I have had no choice but to save my money for 2 x GTX 580s.

However, if you don't notice microstutter for some bizarre reason, then 2GB 6950s/6970s are a good choice. Alternatively, get 6950s, flash them and have 6970s for cheaper :)
